The new BMW X1 features a bold design with great body lines making the vehicle stand out. Without significant changes in the invention, the camouflaged SUV receives slight third-gen touch-ups. The X1 still boasts the brand's infamous twin-kidney grille, although larger for this new model year. At the front fascia, you'll find cornered angular headlights and elegantly flared arches. Some of the other exterior features of the new BMW X1 include 18-inch wheels with the optional 21-inches, tinted LED taillights slightly raised compared to the previous model year, roof rails, LED headlamps, fog lights and enlarged exhaust tips. This BMW boasts one of the most elevated ground clearances in the class, with a height of 7.2 inches for adaptive off-road capabilities.

Interior

Inside the new X1, you'll get to enjoy a high build-quality, quiet cabin with a driver-centered layout to ensure accessible displays and controls. The Cabin comes nicely appointed with soft-touch material accents and leather upholstery, making the interior feel immaculate. The new X1 offers seating of up to five passengers with padded seats and side bolstering for maximum comfort.

The luxury SUV features interior elements such as a moonroof, climate Auto-control, air auto-filtration, push-start button, rear split-folding, front power-adjusted seats, infotainment screen and USB-C sports. The X1 provides generous space for both passengers and cargo with rear legroom of 37.0-inches, 27.1-inch trunk space, with an extended length reaching up to 58.7-inches when rear seats are folded.

Technology

The new X1 features a user-friendly and intuitive iDrive infotainment system. The system comes with a slew of infotainment features such as a quick-response 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Bluetooth® audio, phone connectivity, Apple CarPlay®, in-built navigation, satellite SiriusXM® radio and a seven-speaker sound system.

In addition, other infotainment features offered in the new X1 as options include wireless smartphone-device charging pad, Wi-Fi-hotspot connectivity, heads-up display and a premium Harman Kardon 12-speaker stereo system.

Safety

The X1 showcases a rigid, secure body utilizing high-strength steel and aluminum, enabling the SUV to earn a five-star safety rating overall from the NHTSA. The new X1 provides standard driver assistance and safety features such as lane-departure alerts, rear and front sensors for parking, forward collision alerts, forward emergency auto-braking, rearview camera and high-beam automatic headlights.

Other optional available features for safety include adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, not to mention parallel and perpendicular parking assistance.
